Arthur E. Mahony, 64, of Manchester, NH, died May 28, 2012, at Catholic Medical Center, after a sudden illness.

Born in Ayer, MA on June 17, 1947, he was the son of Thomas and Cecelia (O’Leary) Mahony. He resided in Manchester for the past fifteen years.

During the Vietnam War, he served with the United States Navy.

He worked as a salesman at Quirk Automotive for several years.

Mr. Mahoney was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather.

Family members include his wife, Mary Joy Mahony of Manchester, NH; his son, Patrick Mahony of Athol, MA; three daughters, Erin Burns of Ayer, MA, Megan Seymour of Holden, MA, and Micki Hill of KS; nine grandchildren; four sisters, Tina Barry, Patricia Mahony, Cathy Mahony and Susan Fitzpatrick; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Services: Following cremation, funeral services will be held at a later date.
