Evelyn F. Forrest

Evelyn F. Forrest, 92, of Manchester, NH, died May 17, 2012, at the Manor at Birch Hill, after a period of failing health.

Born in Manchester, NH on December 5, 1919, she was the daughter of Michael and Bridget (Mulroy) Kendrigan. She was a lifelong resident of the city.

She graduated from Manchester High School West, Class of 1938. She earned a bachelor of arts degree from the University of New Hampshire in 1982.

Until her retirement in 1988, she was a financial analyst with the Federal Housing Authority for many years.

Mrs. Forrest was a member of NARFE, AARP, and South Main Street Seniors. She was a longtime communicant of Saint Raphael Church.

She was married to Gerard Forrest who died in 1981.

Family members include two daughters, Marilyn F. Forrest-Somarriba of Burbank, CA, and Jacqueline F. Boucher and her husband, Richard of Manchester; three sons, Gerard M. Forrest and his wife, Deborah, of Whitman, MA, James W. Forrest and his wife, Joanna Ross, of Needham, MA, and Robert J. Forrest of Burbank, CA; five grandchildren, Brent, Gregory, Matthew, Susan, and Adam; three great-grandchildren, Luke, Hannah, and Eva; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by six sisters, Theresa, Sarah, Virginia, Mary, Helen, and Rita; as well as four brothers, Paul, Joseph, Robert, and Edward.

Services: Calling hours are Tuesday from 3 to 7 PM at the Connor-Healy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 537 Union Street, corner of Concord Street, Manchester, NH.

The funeral will be held Wednesday with a mass of Christian burial to be celebrated at 10AM in Saint Raphael Church, Manchester, NH.

Private burial will take place in Saint Joseph Cemetery, Bedford, NH.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 39105.
